Allen Rosa - Managing Partner & Chief Executive Officer
Allen Rosa is a Managing Partner at Integrated Fire Protection with over 15 years of experience in the fire protection industry. He has been with IFP since its inception and brings extensive hands-on expertise across commercial, industrial, and special hazard environments. Allen holds a Massachusetts Certificate of Competency with every restriction, is licensed in Rhode Island as Journeyman (JE-25-34) and Salem, New Hampshire, and maintains certifications with Protex, Ansul, Pyro-Chem, tank systems, and has his Osha 30 card, reflecting his deep technical qualifications and commitment to industry standards.
Allen is highly regarded for his expertise in kitchen suppression systems and has become a trusted resource within the industry, frequently supporting and advising multiple fire protection companies. He attributes his success to a strong work ethic, integrity, and a customer-first mindset, believing that quality work starts with strict adherence to code requirements and manufacturer specifications, without cutting corners. Allen takes pride in being punctual, direct, task-driven, and understanding, ensuring that every project is completed accurately, efficiently, and with the customer’s needs in mind.
Before entering the fire protection field, Allen worked as a mechanic at Dunkin’ Donuts, where a chance encounter with a fire system technician sparked his interest in the industry. That moment led to his first interview and ultimately launched a career dedicated to protecting lives and property. For Allen, safety means knowing that the work he performs every day directly contributes to saving lives and safeguarding buildings.
Outside of work, Allen enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, often hiking, camping, fishing, hunting, traveling, and going on family adventures. He is actively involved in the community, sponsoring the Sanborn High School field hockey team and the Essex Tech swim team, and is a member of NFPA, NAFED, and MRA. His guiding philosophy, “Stay humble and hustle hard”, reflects his belief that through hard work, determination, and a willingness to take risks, anyone can accomplish their goals.

Ron Cooper - Managing Partner & Chief Financial Officer
Ron Cooper is a Managing Partner and Chief Financial Officer at Integrated Fire Protection, bringing 28 years of experience in the fire suppression industry along with 18 years of experience in the restaurant industry. His combined background provides a strong foundation in both operational execution and financial leadership. Ron holds a Massachusetts Certificate of Competency and a Massachusetts Master Unrestricted Sheet Metal license (5375), reinforcing his deep understanding of compliance, installation standards, and business oversight.
Ron entered the fire protection industry after the restaurant he worked at for 18 years closed, leading to an opportunity, encouraged by his wife, to interview for a Financial Controller position at Advanced Fire Protection, where he was awarded the role. Over time, he became highly experienced in Ansul restaurant fire suppression system sales, installation, and service, with a primary focus on commercial restaurant environments where reliability and compliance are critical.
As an owner, Ron’s strongest areas of expertise are financial controllership, operational leadership, and long-term strategic planning. He believes in leading with honesty and integrity and ensures quality by requiring all installations to be properly tested and witnessed by local Authorities Having Jurisdiction. For Ron, safety means making sure everyone goes home at the end of the day to their families.
Ron’s personal philosophy is captured in the quote, “Do not be afraid,” which he lives by as a reminder to take risks that better your family, friends, and yourself. Outside of work, he enjoys skiing, working out, rock climbing, boating, and wake surfing. He is excited to be on this journey with great people and their families, with the goal of growing Integrated Fire Protection into the largest fire suppression company in New England. John McGrath - Managing Partner & President
John McGrath is the President of Integrated Fire Protection and brings over 40 years of experience in the fire protection industry. Born into a family of fire protection professionals, John’s career began with lessons from his father and uncles, instilling a focus on doing work right the first time, with precision, quality, and integrity. He holds a Massachusetts Certificate of Competency, and Rhode Island certifications in fire extinguishers, self-serve motor fueling systems, pre-engineered, and engineered suppression systems.
Throughout his career, John has worked on a wide range of fire protection applications, including dry chemical systems (motor fueling, commercial cooking, chemical storage, spray booths), clean agent systems such as carbon dioxide, Halon/Novec-1230/FM-200 for marine, industrial, and data center applications, and wet chemical systems for commercial kitchens. He has been involved in every stage of each project, ensuring not just proper installation but also client confidence in the system’s performance and safety.
John’s work philosophy is guided by the quote from Maya Angelou: “Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better.” For him, this reflects the evolution of skill, judgment, and responsibility over time, and reinforces the importance of always striving for excellence. His approach is defined by professionalism, reliability, and a commitment to clear communication, ensuring questions are answered, calls are returned, and projects are completed on time.
For John, safety is a core principle, he views it as keeping people “unharmed” and believes it should be a priority in every workplace, even when historically it was not. Outside of work, John enjoys spending time with family and friends, working in the yard, reading, learning, and teaching others. He also helps neighbors, especially elderly community members, with tasks like snow removal, reflecting his lifelong belief in helping others whenever possible.

Walter Nunes - Managing Partner & Kitchen Hood Manager
Walter Nunes serves as the Kitchen Hood Manager at Integrated Fire Protection, bringing over 40 years of experience in the fire protection industry. Although new to IFP, Walter’s career spans decades of hands-on work across nearly every area of fire protection, with a specialized focus on pre-engineered fixed fire suppressions systems, kitchen hood and ventilation systems. He holds a Massachusetts Certificate of Competency as well as an unrestricted Massachusetts Sheet Metal license.
Walter began his career immediately after high school, joining Advanced Fire Protection, where he built a lifelong career rooted in craftsmanship, consistency, and accountability. His experience includes commercial, industrial, healthcare, manufacturing, and residential projects, with particular expertise in kitchen hood design, fabrication, and installation. Known throughout the industry for his strong reputation with customers, Walter takes pride in delivering high-quality work while building honest, long-term relationships at fair and transparent pricing.
Quality and safety are central to Walter’s approach. He emphasizes on-site project management, ensuring that every job is executed accurately, efficiently, and in full compliance with applicable codes and standards. Waylon Brown is a Systems Service Technician at Integrated Fire Protection with eight years of experience in the fire protection industry. He holds ANSUL Systems Certification along with a Massachusetts Certificate of Competency. Waylon’s background is rooted in hands-on service and inspection work, with a primary focus on commercial kitchen environments where reliability and code compliance are essential.
Waylon began his career in the fire protection industry through hood and filter cleaning, which led to his licensing and specialization in kitchen suppression systems. His experience includes kitchen fire system and portable fire extinguisher inspections and service, and he is known for strong customer service skills, thorough preparation, and careful attention to detail. He maintains up-to-date knowledge of applicable codes and standards and approaches every job with accuracy, timeliness, and consistency.

Jonathan Cooper - Director of Operations & Finance
Jonathan Cooper serves as the Director of Operations & Finance at Integrated Fire Protection and brings 10 years of experience in the fire protection industry. As a new member of the IFP team, Jonathan plays a key role in overseeing daily operations and ensuring projects and service work are executed efficiently, accurately, and with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
Jonathan began his career in fire protection through a high school internship, which led to hands-on experience in kitchen suppression system installation, inspection, and maintenance. His background also includes portable fire extinguisher installation, inspection, and maintenance, as well as emergency light inspections, with a primary focus on commercial kitchen environments. His strongest skill lies in organizing and executing the day-to-day operations that keep projects moving smoothly and customers well supported.
Jonathan sets himself apart through his dedication to customers, being responsive, helpful, and reasonable in every interaction. He ensures quality and accuracy through careful multi-stage review to confirm work is completed correctly and meets applicable standards. He is known for his dedication to ensuring every project is executed to the highest standards, double-checking work, and stopping problems before they arise. Outside of work, he enjoys gym workouts, video games, wakeboarding, surfing, helicopters, nutrition, and exploring new foods, while actively volunteering as a horse farm coordinator and supporting Relay for Life initiatives.
